The gap between a senior role at a large consultancy and the same title at a mid-sized firm is significant.

At a large firm, you deliver.

At a smaller one, you own.

This role is the latter.

This is a Central London building services consultancy working across a diverse range of sectors: commercial, residential, education, healthcare and mixed-use.

The team is technically strong, the work is varied, and the structure is flat enough that getting involved early in a project is the norm rather than the exception.

As a Senior or Associate Mechanical Engineer, you will lead mechanical design from concept through to construction.

You will own the client relationship, take technical decisions, and manage the delivery of your projects.

Whether you are working on a refurbishment of a central London office or a new-build mixed-use scheme, you will have the design freedom to do the job properly.

You are an experienced mechanical engineer, ideally Chartered or working towards it, with a background in building services and a solid grounding in HVAC, plant selection and low carbon design.

You understand the full RIBA process and you are comfortable at the client interface.

Central London means quality of work.

A mid-sized team means visibility.

The combination is rarer than it should be.

If you are technically capable but currently working somewhere that does not reflect that in how you are treated or what you are allowed to own, this is a direct route to changing that.
