Most senior electrical design roles ask you to keep doing what you already do well, just for a bigger firm. This one is different: you would be one of the more senior technical voices in a London team that is still building out, with the influence that comes with that rather than just the title.
Our client is a well established, nationally operating building services consultancy with decades of history, known for energy efficient design across lighting, power and controls. The London base works across commercial offices, healthcare, education and residential projects, and is growing steadily as the practice's national client list brings more work into the capital.
As a senior electrical design engineer, you will take projects from concept through to detailed design and technical delivery, working directly with clients rather than being kept at arm's length from them. You will also be a point of reference for less experienced engineers in the team, without this being a formal management role, so it suits someone who likes influencing standards more than sitting in meetings about them.
You should have solid experience across electrical building services design, be comfortable owning technical decisions, and want a role where your seniority is actually used day to day rather than just recognised on paper. Chartered status is welcomed but judged alongside real technical ability, not instead of it. Salary is between 58,000 and 75,000, depending on experience.
