Our client is a well regarded MEP consultancy based just outside Cambridge, with a strong reputation for commercial building services work and a loyal client base built up over many years. The team is close knit, technically strong, and growing steadily rather than chasing rapid expansion for its own sake.
This role is open across a wide band of experience, from junior engineers who are ready to take on more ownership through to associate level candidates who want a genuine route to influence how the team runs. Whichever end of that range you sit at, you will be working on electrical building services design across commercial and residential schemes, with real client contact and the chance to shape your own caseload rather than just work through a list handed to you.
Hybrid working is available, so you will not be expected in the office five days a week, and the team is flexible about how that is structured. Chartered status is a nice to have here rather than a hard requirement, so do not rule yourself out if you are not there yet. One practical note: visa sponsorship is not available for this role, so you will need existing right to work in the UK.Salary is between 30,000 and 68,000, depending on level, plus bonus and pension.
