About the Role
We are looking for a compassionate, reliable and experienced Care Assistant to provide one-to-one support for a lady living with Parkinson's disease and dementia within her own home. This is a private family position where the emphasis is on providing dignified, person-centred care that enables independence, comfort and quality of life. We are looking for someone who genuinely enjoys building relationships and can become a trusted part of the family's support network. Initially, the role will involve around 10-12 flexible hours per week, with the potential for additional hours over time as needs develop.
Key Responsibilities
- Providing personal care and assisting with daily hygiene routines while always maintaining dignity and respect.
- Supporting mobility and encouraging gentle movement to help maintain strength, confidence and independence.
- Promoting hydration and nutrition throughout visits.
- Encouraging participation in daily activities and general wellbeing.
- Providing companionship and meaningful conversation.
- Monitoring general health and wellbeing.
