Responsive Personnel are working closely with our client in Gloucester who are actively looking for a Street Cleansing Operative to join their team. This is what we need you to do:
- Undertake visual daily checks of the vehicle before it is used to ensure that the vehicle is in good working order, including checking oil, water, tyres, lights and beacons.
- Comply with all transport legislations.
- Work with other street cleaning crews and vehicles in a team to clear areas where necessary.
- Empty, clean and correctly replace litter bins on an agreed emptying schedule.
- Clean given areas to a specified standard removing all litter, animal droppings, leaf and twig fall, dirt and dust, loose chippings and other deposits, using a range of tools.
- Remove any reported fly-tipped waste as directed, taking due consideration to any possible dangers (for example asbestos or sharps).

- Experience of working on street cleaning/grounds maintenance activities is desirable but not essential.
- Expected to work reasonable additional hours in line with the needs of the service.
- You will need use of a car for work purposes.
