Responsive Personnel are looking for a passionate and reliable Cake Maker to join our clients bakery team in Swindon. You will be responsible for preparing, baking, decorating and finishing a range of cakes and baked goods to a consistently high standard.

This is a day-shift position, ideal for someone who enjoys working in a busy bakery environment and takes pride in producing quality products.

(Please note you will need to do a weeks training on nights at a higher pay rate)

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare cake mixtures, fillings, creams and toppings according to recipes and production requirements.
  • Bake cakes and other products to the required quality and consistency.
  • Decorate and finish cakes neatly and creatively.
  • Follow recipes, portion sizes and presentation standards.
  • Check ingredients and ensure products are fresh and of a high quality.
  • Maintain a clean, organised and hygienic work area.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene and health & safety procedures.
  • Work efficiently to meet daily production targets.
  • Assist with packing, labelling and preparing products for delivery or sale.
  • Work as part of a friendly bakery team and support other duties when required.

  • Have previous experience in cake making, baking or a kitchen.
  • Have good attention to detail and take pride in their work.
  • Be reliable, punctual and able to work well as part of a team.
  • Have a good understanding of food hygiene and safe working practices.

  • Have a passion for baking and producing high-quality cakes.
  • Be willing to learn and develop new skills.
