An opportunity to join an exciting organisation as an Events & Marketing Manager. The purpose of the role is to be responsible for the design and execution of our campaigns and presence at trade shows and events with the aim of increasing brand awareness and salience with our target audiences, generating leads, and facilitating customer and adviser engagement. Responsibilities include:

  • Design and execute integrated B2B trade show and event campaigns, leveraging Salesforce Marketing Cloud to align marketing with sales objectives, track multi-touch engagement, analyse lead quality, and optimize ROI through data-driven insights.
  • Work with stakeholders to understand objectives and design trade-show presence and proposals for attendance around those objectives with consideration of the wider marketing plan.
  • Deliver execution of company events and trade shows, including management of Marketing Assistant.
  • Manage the company’s programme of social activities, social fund, and charity events.
  • Own the production of creative for events and campaigns including stand design, product sheets, emails, and marketing workflows for pre and post-event engagement.
  • Liaise with suppliers and trade bodies to maximise engagement and attendance at shows including defence attachés, political figures, and senior defence professionals.
  • Build a strong contacts network in the defence events community to ensure best deals can be negotiated and we are front of mind for opportunities for enhanced presence.

Qualifications, Skills and Experience:

  • Proven experience in organising and delivering events, such as trade shows or exhibitions is essential; experience in the defence, infrastructure or industrial sectors is desirable.
  • Experience in using Salesforce or other CRM platforms to manage and track event activities including attendee data, lead capture and reporting.
  • Understanding of attribution reporting and ROI principles.
  • Ability to build relationships externally with suppliers and trade bodies.
  • A strategic thinker able to link activities to our strategies and objectives.
  • Able to think laterally when problem solving.
  • Acts with honesty/integrity to build trust, works with safety as a priority, collaborates as one and puts the team first, strives for excellence in work and capabilities, and is innovative in ways of working.
  • Experience overseeing budgets, negotiating with suppliers and agencies to ensure delivery to time, cost and quality standards.
  • Demonstrable experience planning and delivering integrated events and marketing campaigns within a B2B or highly regulated environment.
  • Experience delivering events as part of integrated marketing and communications campaigns.
