Responsibilities:
- Ensure the machine schedule is completed within required timescales and to the correct drawing specifications.
- Support Engineering during program prove out.
- Work methodically through tasks whilst ensuring quality is not compromised.
- Follow quality policies and procedures.
- Highlight any quality or production issues to supervision.
- Maintain product traceability.
- Prepare and load materials on machines.
- Maximise machine utilisation with minimum downtime.
- Operate multiple machines when requested.
- Mentor apprentices and colleagues when requested.
- Comply with all health and safety requirements.
Qualifications, Skills and Experience:
- Time served CNC Machinist.
- Experience as a 5 Axis Mazak Machinist.
- Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
- Ability to understand and interpret geometrical tolerances.
- Competent working to and maintaining tight tolerances.
- Competent lifting heavy components.
- Experience of machining large fabrications.
