Role Summary
We are seeking an experienced person to deepen our ability to connect meaningfully with key stakeholders in steel value chains, activate new markets, and collaborate with civil society groups worldwide. The role will ensure ResponsibleSteel remains the preferred pathway for responsible, low‑emission steel production. You will develop and deliver engagement strategies, tailored marketing approaches, high‑impact events, strategic partnerships, and other initiatives that expand our influence and reach.
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement targeted stakeholder analysis and engagement plans.
- Activate key markets and attract new members and partners in strategic regions.
- Build and maintain strong, trust‑based relationships across the global steel value chain.
- Track and analyse stakeholder feedback, market trends, and regional developments.
- Support the development of in‑person events and refine online engagement approaches.
- Adapt messaging for regional relevance; design campaigns and communications.
- Identify opportunities for strategic partnerships and speaking engagements.
- Contribute to grant management and provide inputs to other Secretariat functions.
Experience and Skills
- 5+ years in stakeholder engagement, marketing, or partnership development.
- Experience with corporate sustainability teams and ESG functions in heavy industry.
- Background in steel, mining, construction, automotive, or similar sectors.
- Proven success in engagement plans and events; experience with international audiences.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills; strategic thinking; ability to manage multiple projects.
- Proficiency in additional languages, particularly Mandarin, is an asset.
