Response Recruitment is seeking a skilled Multi-Skilled Engineer to support production operations within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for maintaining plant performance through effective breakdown response, planned preventative maintenance (PPM), and continuous improvement activities.
Shift - 4 on 4 off
Salary - £45,000 to £47,000
Key Responsibilities
- Carry out breakdown repairs and PPM to minimise downtime
- Maintain mechanical and electrical integrity of plant and equipment
- Support installation, upgrades, and improvement projects
- Work closely with production to improve efficiency and reliability
- Complete maintenance documentation accurately
- Promote high standards of safety, hygiene, and housekeeping
- Contribute to continuous improvement and reliability initiatives
Requirements
- NVQ Level 3 / City & Guilds (or equivalent) in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering
- Minimum 3 years' experience in FMCG or process manufacturing
- Multi-skilled with strong fault-finding and diagnostic ability
- Experience with PPM systems (essential)
- PLC knowledge (desirable)
- 18th Edition (desirable)
- Strong communication and teamworking skills
