We are seeking a skilled CNC Turner to join our client's manufacturing team. The successful candidate will be responsible for programming, setting, and operating CNC lathes to produce precision components to tight tolerances, often working with exotic and high-performance materials. This role requires a strong focus on quality, accuracy, and efficiency in a high-spec engineering environment. This role reports to the Machine Shop Manager.
Location: Woking, Surrey. Workshop-based precision machining environment. PPE required at all times. Overtime and shift work may be required depending on workload.
What You Will Be Doing:
- Set, program and operate CNC turning machines
- Manufacture components to tight tolerances (typically within microns)
- Work with exotic materials such as Inconel, Titanium, Hastelloy, Duplex and other alloys
- Interpret engineering drawings and technical specifications
- Select appropriate cutting tools, speeds and feeds
- Conduct in-process inspection using precision measuring equipment
- Ensure all parts meet quality standards
- Troubleshoot machining issues and make adjustments
- Follow safety procedures

- Proven experience as a CNC Turner
- Experience machining exotic materials and difficult alloys
- Ability to machine complex components to tight tolerances
- CNC programming experience
