Job Summary: We are currently seeking a CNC Miller Operator to join our clients engineering team based in Byfleet. This role is ideal for someone with basic CNC milling experience who is looking to further develop their machining skills within a busy manufacturing environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate CNC milling machines safely and efficiently
  • Load and unload materials and components
  • Read and work from engineering drawings
  • Carry out basic machine set-ups and tool changes
  • Inspect finished parts using measuring equipment including verniers and micrometers
  • Ensure all components meet required quality standards and tolerances
  • Maintain a clean and organised work area
  • Report any machine or production issues to management
  • Complete production paperwork accurately

Requirements:

  • Previous experience operating CNC milling machines
  • Ability to read engineering drawings
  • Basic understanding of machining processes and tolerances
  • Experience using measuring equipment
  • Good attention to detail and quality standards
  • Reliable, punctual, and able to work as part of a team

Desirable:

  • Experience with Fanuc or Haas controls
  • Engineering or machining qualification
  • Previous experience within a precision engineering environment
