About the Company: Our Client is a Letchworth based company specialising in Prototypes & Low Volume Production Sheet Metal Pressings, Stampings and Fabrication to the Highest Quality, working in many different sectors. Customers include Ford motors, Lockheed Martin, Warner Brothers and McLaren.
Role:
- Working with the team to program Doosan Machining centres
- Responsible for setting up the machines, performing first off checks to confirm quality
- The majority of the jobs produced are one off press tools for our in-house stamping team
- Run the Cutter paths to get the optimal times and cuts using the high end tooling purchased
- Liaise with manufacturing and suppliers to ensure on time delivery
Requirements:
- Knowledge of CNC milling is essential
- The role requires manual lifting
- Actively seek opportunities for Continuous Improvement
- Knowledge of a CAD package would be an advantage
- Knowledge of Delcam or Space claim software would be an advantage (training will be given to the right applicant)
- The ability to read and work from engineering drawings
