Our Client based in the Luton area are looking to recruit a Production Planner / Electrical Production Planner on a 6 Month Contract.

Job Summary

Plan production schedules and capacity to maximise revenue to meet customer demands, and ensure OTTR/OTTC targets, while supporting supply chain operations.

Job Responsibilities

  • Supporting the business to maximise revenue & planning the work efficiently by maintaining a current view of customer orders, plant capacity and inventory.
  • Help to drive OTTR/OTTC within the plant to ensure we hit targets.
  • Convert MRP generated planned orders to production orders into SAP taking into consideration material availability and capacity resulting in the best fit for customer requests.
  • Monitor and react to daily MRP expectations within the constraints of material and capacity availability.
  • Co-ordinate modifications to product ensuring Bills of material (B.O.M) or inventory transactions reflect any changes to product.
  • Participate in continuous improvement meetings in order to identify and implement changes that will benefit the performance of the business.
  • Track Production orders and identify possible material supply problems affecting customers, and ensuring all stakeholders are notified.
  • Liaise with sales giving accurate delivery dates and feedback on potential delays.
  • Support plant projects and new product introduction including planning for validation builds.
  • Creating a production schedule: Planning, Scheduling and coordinating production of the company’s products.
  • Evaluating raw materials and equipment to ensure everything is in place for production.
  • Scheduling shifts and workers to provide proper coverage.
  • Watching costs to ensure the production process stays within budget.
  • Reporting on the Production status and any production issues to upper management.
  • Handling Production disruptions and productivity problems.
  • Finding ways to improve productivity and reduce costs.
  • Using market forecasts and competitive analysis to anticipate necessary production changes.

Qualifications

Experience within planning/Production/SCM/SAP, Microsoft Office Planning adherence, OTTR. Monthly Revenue Targets.
