Our client, based in Andover, is currently seeking experienced CNC Machinists to join their growing engineering and manufacturing team. The successful candidates will be responsible for producing high-quality precision components to engineering specifications, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and consistency throughout the manufacturing process.

We are open to candidates from a wide range of CNC backgrounds, including operators, setters, programmers, and trainee machinists with relevant engineering exposure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Setting and operating CNC machinery
  • Manufacturing precision components to tight tolerances
  • Working from technical and engineering drawings
  • Carrying out quality inspections using measuring equipment
  • Performing tool changes, offsets, and basic machine adjustments
  • Ensuring all work meets required quality standards
  • Maintaining a clean, safe, and organised working environment
  • Meeting production targets and deadlines
  • Supporting continuous improvement within the machining department

Skills & Experience

Candidates with experience in any of the following CNC machining areas are encouraged to apply:

  • CNC Turning
  • CNC Milling
  • CNC Setting
  • CNC Operating
  • CNC Programming
  • Setter/Operator and Setter/Operator/Programmer roles
  • 3-axis, 4-axis, or 5-axis machining
  • Experience with Doosan machines
  • Fanuc controls
  • Heidenhain controls
  • Reading and interpreting engineering drawings
  • Use of measuring equipment (micrometers, verniers, callipers, etc.)
  • Precision engineering or general manufacturing backgrounds

Both experienced CNC Machinists and trainee/junior candidates with a strong interest in engineering will be considered.
