Job Title: CMM / Mechanical Inspector Location: Basildon Salary: £22.80 per hour (including shift allowance) Hours: 37 hours per week, Monday to Friday Shifts: Two-shift rotation Early Shift: Mon-Thurs, 6:00 am – 2:00 pm; Fri, 6:00 am – 1:30 pm Late Shift: Mon-Thurs, 1:45 pm – 9:45 pm; Fri, 1:15 pm – 8:45 pmAbout the Role We are seeking an experienced CMM / Mechanical Inspector to join a leading precision engineering company based in Basildon. You will be responsible for the inspection and verification of high-precision machined components and assemblies, ensuring full compliance with customer specifications and quality standards. Reporting to the Inspection Team Lead, this role is key to supporting both first-off and final inspections within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. Key Responsibilities Perform first-off inspection of machined components and complex assemblies using CAD data and drawings Complete final inspection reports and AS9100 First Article Inspection Documents Maintain knowledge of and adhere to quality assurance requirements and procedures Record and report non-conforming products to internal and customer standards Ensure correct calibration of inspection tooling and adherence to traceability processes Handle materials responsibly to maintain quality throughout the production lifecycle Provide general Quality Control support as required by production schedulesRequired Skills & Experience …
