Self-Employed Trade Plate Driver – Contracting Opportunity in Birmingham

UK-wide Become a Self-Employed Trade Plate Driver Contractor and enjoy the freedom of independent working! We are inviting responses from self-employed drivers interested in providing vehicle collection and delivery services. With more than 20 years' experience, we are an established UK vehicle logistics provider with vehicle movement assignments available across the country. Assignment Overview Assignments involve collecting and delivering new and used vehicles throughout the UK. Contractors usually travel between movements by public transport, with eligible costs reimbursed. When you accept an assignment, you will be responsible for: Collecting and delivering the vehicle as agreed Completing the required collection and delivery records Planning your route and managing your journey Providing relevant operational updates Carryover vehicles or chase cars may be available for some assignments. Most assignments are available Monday to Friday, with occasional weekend opportunities. This opportunity is best suited to contractors who can regularly offer availability across at least four consecutive weekdays. You decide when to make yourself available and whether to accept an assignment. Availability does not guarantee that assignments will be offered, and there is no obligation to accept them. Essential Requirements Prospective contractors must: Be aged 25 or over for insurance purposes Hold a full UK driving licence for at least two years Have their current home address shown on their licence Have no more than six penalty points and no serious driving offences Have private or allocated off-street parking at their home address Have the right to provide self-employed services in the UK Be willing to complete a DBS check, paid for by us Be physically able to undertake regular travel and walking Previous delivery-driving, trade plate or vehicle-movement experience is advantageous, as are good communication and customer service skills. Fees and Self-Employed Status Fees are paid weekly for completed assignments. Additional fees may be available for qualifying movements. Weekly fees will vary according to the number, type and location of assignments accepted and completed. The indicative figure of £450–£650 per week is not guaranteed. Approved contractors provide services on a self-employed basis and are responsible for their own tax and National Insurance obligations.
