Role Overview

We are recruiting experienced Healthcare Assistants for ongoing placements in care homes across Northumberland. This role is for professionals who know the job, meet compliance standards, and can step into a care setting without hand-holding. You will be expected to deliver safe, compassionate, and competent care to residents while working as part of an established care team.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide personal care including washing, dressing, toileting, and feeding
  • Support residents with mobility using correct moving and handling techniques
  • Promote dignity, independence, and wellbeing at all times
  • Accurately follow care plans and report changes in residents’ conditions
  • Maintain health, safety, and safeguarding standards
  • Communicate clearly with staff, residents, and management

Essential Requirements (Non-Negotiable)

  • Enhanced DBS on the Update Service
  • Minimum 1 year UK experience as a Healthcare Assistant in a care setting
  • Moving & Handling training
  • Safeguarding training
  • Health & Safety training
  • Right to Work in the UK
  • Two professional references
