Looking for a hands-on Business Systems Analyst who thrives at the intersection of insurance, data, and technology. This role covers the full London Market insurance value chain—so if you get a kick out of figuring out how underwriting, exposure management, pricing, and policy admin all link together (and making those systems better), you’ll feel right at home.
You’ll be the main bridge between business (think underwriters, ops, actuaries) and tech teams, translating real-life insurance problems into practical system solutions. You’ll own, configure, and support core insurance platforms, keep data flowing smoothly, and make sure everything stays compliant with the latest market initiatives. Along the way, you’ll get your hands dirty with data mapping, ETL, reporting, workflow support, and vendor management.
You’ll be working out of London, so you need the right to work in the UK and a solid understanding of the London Market’s quirks. You should have 6-10 years’ experience in business analysis, data or insurance system roles, and have spent time working with specialty lines, delegated authority, and London Market eMessaging (like PPL & ACORD). If you’ve helped design solutions, managed system upgrades, or worked with data reporting pipelines, this is your jam.
Fitment Criteria- London Market Experience: You’ve directly supported insurance systems/products in the London Market (6-10 years). Bonus if you know bordereaux, specialty lines, policy admin, or delegated authority.
- Tech & Data Savvy: You’re comfortable hands-on with insurance platforms, data mapping, ETL, SQL, and reporting tools. You can handle system admin, upgrades, troubleshooting, and integrations.
- Analysis & Solution Design: You’re skilled at requirements gathering, process modelling, and translating business needs into technical specs. You’ve led or contributed to system enhancements or integrations.
- Data Quality & Transformation: You can design and support data pipelines, validate/cleanse data, and understand data flows across the insurance value chain.
- London Market Standards: You know your way around eMessaging (PPL, ACORD, APIs) and can support market modernization (Blueprint Two, CDR).
- Stakeholder Engagement: You’re an ace communicator, comfortable collaborating with underwriters, actuaries, IT, finance, vendors, and brokers. You can run workshops, document processes, and support change management.
- Reporting/MI: You’ve helped define reporting requirements, created dashboards, and contributed to MI/analytical insights.
Personal Attributes: Analytical, detail-oriented, solution-focused, commercially aware, collaborative, and always looking for continuous improvement.
Education: Degree in Business, Info Systems, Insurance, Data/Tech, or equivalent experience. ACII or BCS progress is a plus.
If you’re a proactive, tech-savvy insurance systems expert who loves blending business analysis with system design and data, and you can bring London Market know-how to the table, you’re exactly who we want to meet!
