We have an exciting position for an Enterprise Risk Manager based in London!
WHAT WILL YOU DO?
The Enterprise Risk Manager will support the design, implementation and continuous improvement of the Enterprise Risk Management (ERM) framework, working collaboratively with Asta's Risk function. The role spans:
- Enterprise Risk oversight
- Reinsurance and capital risk modelling validation
- ESG risk integration
- Risk appetite monitoring
- Embedding a strong risk culture across underwriting and operations
This position plays a critical role in ensuring our Client operates within Lloyd's minimum standards, maintains capital resilience, and develops a proportionate but robust risk framework suitable for a growing startup syndicate.
WHAT WILL MAKE YOU SUCCESSFUL IN THE ROLE?
Key responsibilities:
- Risk framework and Governance
- Roll-out, maintain and monitor Asta's ERM framework across our Client.
- Close any gaps between Asta's ERM framework and that of our Client.
- Support risk identification and quarterly risk reviews
- Maintain the Risk Register (strategic, underwriting, operational, financial risks)
- Monitor Key Risk Indicators (KRIs) and support reporting
- Track emerging risks and scenario impacts
- Ensure alignment with Asta's oversight expectations
- ORSA and Capital Risk
- Support production of the ORSA
- Coordinate stress and scenario testing
- Validate risk appetite metrics against capital model outputs
- Review aggregation exposures and limit monitoring
- Support reverse stress testing exercises
- Support validation of catastrophe model outputs
- Reinsurance Risk & Modelling Oversight
- Review outwards reinsurance programme
- Support modelling of London ORI programme
- Assess counterparty credit exposure
- ESG & Climate Risk Integration
- Support development of ESG risk framework
- Integrate climate risk into risk register and ORSA
- Monitor exposure to climate-sensitive classes
- Track ESG metrics and disclosures
- Support regulatory climate reporting (where required)
- Ensure ESG risks are embedded into:
- Underwriting governance
- Risk appetite statements
- Scenario testing
QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Degree in Risk Management, Actuarial Science, Finance, or Business preferred
- Working towards professional qualification (e.g., IRM, CERA, FIA/FFA)
- Minimum 3 years in risk management
- Experience of the Lloyd's market.
