A rare opportunity to join a highly successful, globally recognised engineering and manufacturing business at a pivotal stage of growth and transformation. This is a senior leadership role within a complex, matrix-led international organisation. This particular division of the group employs circa 3,000 employees across 10 global businesses, with the UK site forming a key strategic growth hub. Based in Hertfordshire, the site currently employs circa 500 people, with significant planned growth over the next 18 months. Backed by major investment, the organisation is undergoing large-scale transformation programmes spanning organisational design, operational performance, cultural change, leadership capability, talent development and ways of working.

Reporting into the Divisional HR Director and forming part of the UK Senior Leadership Team, the Head of People will lead a well-established HR function and play a critical role in shaping the future people strategy for the site. Key areas of responsibility include:

  • Leading and developing a multi-disciplinary HR team
  • Driving organisational design and transformation activity
  • Partnering with senior leadership on strategic workforce planning
  • Leading union relationships and employee forum activities
