A well-established organisation within the industrial and distribution sector is seeking an experienced Warehouse Manager to lead end-to-end warehouse performance and ensure strong alignment between warehouse activity, transport operations, and wider logistics strategy. This is a senior operational role suited to someone who is confident in driving standards, improving processes, and building a high-performing warehouse team.
The Warehouse Operations Manager will oversee all warehouse functions, including Goods In, storage, picking, dispatch, and stock integrity. The role requires a strong operational leader who can ensure accuracy, efficiency, safety, and readiness across the site. You will work closely with transport and logistics leadership to ensure smooth coordination between warehouse operations and fleet activity, supporting compliance, vehicle turnaround, and on-time delivery performance.

Key Responsibilities:
- Lead daily warehouse operations across Goods In, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, stock integrity, and workflow efficiency
- Work closely with transport/logistics teams to support route planning, vehicle turnaround, and compliance
- Manage and develop Team Leaders and supervisors, driving performance and accountability
- Oversee rotas, absence, and workforce planning
- Ensure full compliance with health & safety procedures and audit requirements
- Monitor KPIs and lead continuous improvement initiatives
Requirements:
- Proven experience in warehouse operations management
- Strong understanding of stock control and inventory processes
- Valid CPC qualification (essential)
- Experience working alongside transport/logistics functions
- Confident people leader with strong communication and organisational skills
- Competent with WMS/ERP systems and data-driven decision-making
- Forklift licence desirable (training can be provided)
