This is an opportunity to join a progressive manufacturing business with a strong growth mindset. Reporting to the Operations Director, you will lead a finite team and take ownership of day‑to‑day engineering function. The role calls for someone who can balance strategic thinking with hands‑on leadership, driving continuous improvement while supporting and developing the team around them.

The Role:

  • Ensuring Engineering targets are met within deadlines, without compromising quality or control of costs.
  • Ensuring a robust preventative maintenance system is in place and implemented.
  • Ensuring good housekeeping is maintained.
  • Maintaining policies, procedures and practices to satisfy all company rules and regulations.
  • Carrying out monthly engineering audits on all preventative and reactive works that have been completed.
  • Assessing and reporting all engineering repair costs.
  • Sourcing and cost managing parts suppliers.
  • Assessing and maintaining adequate stock levels.
  • Liaising with accounts and suppliers/contractors for invoice approval.
  • Sourcing and cost managing all annual service and inspection contracts.
  • Ensuring all buildings, plant and machinery are maintained to the highest possible standard and comply with regulations.
  • Ensuring all departmental staff are capable of undertaking the jobs at hand, in a safe and capable manner and in compliance with all company rules and regulations.
