We’re looking for an experienced and driven Production Manager to lead manufacturing operations, ensuring production targets are delivered safely, on time, in full and to the highest quality standards. This is a pivotal, site-based role focused on operational performance, cost control and team capability within a growing, technology-led manufacturing environment.

You’ll lead day-to-day production through effective management of Team Leaders and Production Operatives, working closely with Supply Chain, Engineering, Quality and Continuous Improvement to protect delivery commitments and drive performance improvement. With accountability for production KPIs, labour efficiency and operational discipline, you’ll play a central role in strengthening manufacturing capability as the business continues to scale up. Success will be measured through consistent delivery performance, improved productivity, strong health & safety standards and the development of a resilient, high-performing production team. This is an in-person leadership role based at the HQ site, with flexibility required to support operational demands and other sites as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead day-to-day production operations through effective management of Team Leaders, ensuring delivery of agreed production schedules safely, on time and in full and accountable for overall production delivery performance.
  • Take accountability for production delivery performance and departmental budget control, managing labour costs, overtime and operational expenditure to achieve cost and efficiency targets.
  • Build and develop production capability, including workforce planning, skills development and succession planning to support increased output and operational resilience.
  • Work in close partnership with the Supply Chain function to validate production schedules, proactively identify constraints and protect delivery commitments.
  • Monitor and report on key performance indicators across manufacturing, delivery and cost, implementing corrective actions to improve overall manufacturing performance.
  • Work with CI Manager to drive continuous improvement initiatives using Lean principles to reduce waste, improve productivity and optimise resource utilisation.
  • Take operational accountability for health & safety within production, ensuring safe systems of work are followed and working collaboratively with the QHSE Manager on risk assessments, incident investigations and corrective actions.
  • Ensure compliance with quality and regulatory standards within production, supporting audit readiness and right-first-time manufacturing performance.
  • Work cross-functionally with Engineering, Materials, Supply Chain, Quality and other departments to support new product introduction, process improvement and operational scalability.
  • Provide operational support to other sites as required, promoting consistent manufacturing standards and best practice.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Engineering, Production Management, Lean Manufacturing, or similar
  • IOSH or NEBOSH qualification
