An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Mechanical Service Engineer to join the team, covering a South East patch including London and surrounding areas. You will be responsible for carrying out planned maintenance, servicing and reactive repairs across a variety of commercial mechanical systems, ensuring high standards of workmanship and customer service at all times. This is a mobile role requiring strong technical ability, professionalism on client sites, and the ability to work independently across a busy regional patch.
Key Responsibilities
- Planned preventative maintenance (PPM) on mechanical systems
- Reactive maintenance and fault finding
- Servicing and repairs of HVAC and heating systems
- Working across commercial and residential client sites
- Diagnosing system faults and implementing effective solutions
- Completing accurate job reports and compliance documentation
- Ensuring all work meets health & safety standards
- Liaising with clients and site contacts professionally
Patch Coverage
- London
- Kent
- Wider South East region (occasional surrounding travel required)
Working Hours & Overtime
- Standard hours: 08:00 - 16:00 (site based)
- Overtime payable before 07:00 and after 17:00
- Call-out rota: 1 in 9 rotation (additional allowance provided)

Candidate Requirements
- Proven experience as a Mechanical / HVAC / Building Services Engineer
- Strong background in commercial maintenance environments
- Experience with heating, ventilation and air conditioning systems
- Ability to fault find and work independently
- Full UK driving licence (essential)
- Relevant industry qualifications (preferred/required depending on level), such as: NVQ Level 2/3 in Mechanical Engineering, HVAC or Building Services
- F-Gas qualification (desirable/essential depending on scope)
- Gas Safe (advantageous but not essential for all roles)
- PASMA / IPAF (beneficial)
- Strong communication and client-facing skills
