The group continues to grow at pace from their Derbyshire base, and they are now looking for an experienced and commercially astute Head of Technical & Design (Cladding) to lead the technical and design function within a growing façade business.
As the Head of Technical & Design (Cladding) you will provide technical leadership across the full project lifecycle, from design development and engineering coordination, through to manufacturing, logistics, installation and project delivery.
On a daily basis the Head of Technical & Design (Cladding) will be responsible for:
- Lead all technical and design activities across façade, cladding, and panelised construction projects.
- Provide expert guidance on façade engineering, structural design principles, and regulatory compliance.
- Oversee the development and review of technical drawings, calculations, specifications, and design documentation.
- Ensure designs are optimised for manufacture, transportation, installation, and long-term performance.
- Manage technical risk and resolve complex design and engineering challenges.
As the Head of Technical & Design (Cladding) you will approve designs relating to:
- Structural loading requirements
- Wind loading calculations
- Bolt connections and fixing systems
- Bracket details and support structures
- Waterproofing and weatherproofing details
