We are recruiting on behalf of our client for a Stock Controller / Assembly Technician to join a busy and growing workshop team in Southend-on-Sea. This is a varied, hands-on role combining stock control, stores support and component assembly, making it ideal for someone who enjoys a practical working environment and thrives in a role with variety.

Key responsibilities:

  • Assembling parts and components to required specifications
  • Inspecting completed assemblies to ensure quality and accuracy
  • Maintaining and replenishing stock levels
  • Picking and issuing parts for workshop technicians
  • Supporting stores operations during busy periods and holidays
  • Liaising with suppliers regarding parts and deliveries
  • Carrying out stock checks and cycle counting
  • Replenishing workshop consumables

The ideal candidate:

  • Has previous experience within stock control, stores, assembly, warehouse or production environments
  • Has strong attention to detail and enjoys practical, hands-on work
  • Confident following instructions and technical processes
  • Computer literate and comfortable updating systems
  • Works well as part of a team with a proactive attitude
