Due to continued growth, they are looking to strengthen their aftersales team with experienced Field Service Engineers at multiple levels.

The Role – Field Service Engineer
You'll play a key role in supporting customers across the UK, carrying out fault finding, maintenance, and technical investigations on switchgear and associated equipment. This isn't just a travelling role — when you're not on site, you'll stay hands-on in the workshop, supporting build, wiring, and testing. It keeps your skills sharp and gives you a full understanding of the equipment.
What you'll be doing
- Field Service (Primary focus)
- Respond to customer issues during standard working hours
- Carry out fault finding, repairs, and technical investigations
- Deliver reactive and planned maintenance on switchgear systems
- Complete service tasks including:
- Relay testing
- VT/CT checks
- Component replacements
- Mechanical adjustments
- Produce reports, RAMS, and documentation
- Build strong working relationships with customers on site
- Workshop / Production (when not on site)
- Panel wiring and electrical assembly
- Building switchgear and protection/control panels
- Supporting testing and inspections
- General workshop support
Travel
UK-wide role. Working away Monday to Friday. Jobs range from day visits to full working weeks away. Accommodation and expenses fully covered.
