Our client is a well-established FMCG food manufacturing business and is looking for a Technologist to join their team. You will play a key role in ensuring that products meet the highest quality, food safety, technical, and regulatory standards. The role involves working closely with production, NPD, quality, and supply chain teams to maintain consistency, compliance, and innovation.
The ideal candidate will have experience in food manufacturing within a technical or quality role and be confident engaging with suppliers, customers, and internal stakeholders to ensure standards are met and exceeded.
What's involved for the Technologist:
- Support Technical Manager to deliver quality, safety, and compliance standards
- Manage customer accounts, specs, and documentation
- Prepare and maintain accurate reports for internal and external stakeholders
- Coordinate samples, approvals, and benchmarking
- Track complaints, rejections, and performance data and drive improvements
- Participate in audits, traceability exercises, and site inspections
- Work with suppliers and growers to review performance and implement improvements
- Support NPD from concept to launch
- Promote hygiene, health & safety, and environmental best practices
- Manage priorities to meet deadlines and maintain brand standards
What you'll need:
- Experience in food manufacturing and a technical or quality auditor role
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
- Must have food quality experience
- Clear communicator, confident with internal teams and external customers/suppliers
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, work proactively, and meet deadlines
- Knowledge of food safety standards and compliance requirements is advantageous
