Company: A well-established and growing manufacturing business is seeking a Quality Inspector / Quality Technician to join its Quality team. Responsibilities:
- The Quality Inspector / Quality Technician will be responsible for ensuring products meet customer specifications and quality standards throughout the manufacturing process.
- Carry out first-off, in-process and final inspections of manufactured components.
- Use a range of measuring equipment including Verniers, Micrometers, Height Gauges and other inspection tools.
- Read and interpret engineering drawings and specifications.
- Record and maintain accurate inspection documentation and quality records.
- Support investigations into non-conformances and assist with root cause analysis activities.
- Assist with internal quality audits and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Liaise with Production, Engineering and Quality teams to ensure quality standards are maintained.
- Support calibration activities and ensure inspection equipment remains compliant.
- Participate in customer and supplier quality-related activities when required.
- Assist in maintaining compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards.
Requirements:
- Previous experience within a Quality Inspector, Quality Technician or similar Quality role.
- Experience working within a manufacturing or engineering environment.
- Ability to read and interpret basic engineering drawings.
- Experience using a variety of inspection and measuring equipment.
- Knowledge of ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems would be advantageous.
- Strong attention to detail and problem-solving skills.
- Good communication skills and the ability to work effectively within a team.
- Driving license.
