Our client runs a successful and innovative group of financial services companies offering a unique combination of services for pension schemes, employers, private clients, Lloyd's insurers and institutions. They aim to maintain a high-quality administration service both in the Pension Accumulation and Decumulation phases, delivering exceptional service and support to a vast array of clients.
They are now looking to bring in a Section Head to process all aspects of bespoke SIPP and SSAS administration, in a professional and team orientated manner. You will act as technical support to the team, SIPP and SSAS clients and financial advisers along with having line management responsibilities of a team of administrators of varying grades and levels of experience. This role will also support the CEO with the development of client centric processes and procedures which drive efficiency and consistent high standards of service.
Responsibilities:- Line management responsibilities to a team of administrators, including providing technical support and guidance, perform appraisals and one to ones.
- Provide individual and team technical and administration training.
- Assisting the team in providing quality and efficient service to all clients when processing new business and ongoing servicing to deliver fair outcomes.
- Inputting client data when setting up new plans or schemes and maintaining the data throughout the lifetime of the lifecycle.
- Setting up of designated bank accounts with Bank of Scotland via the iSite platform.
- Accurate and timely crystallising of pension benefits and making pension commencement lump sum and/or income payments.
- Recognising the various transitional protections that can apply to a plan and ensuring that the correct Lifetime Allowance is applied when benefits are crystallised.
- Reporting and arranging settlement of Lifetime Allowance charges via HMRC's online services.
- Creating contributions and issuing Contribution Payment Certificates.
- Processing paperwork in relation to transfers in from both defined benefit and money purchase schemes and cash and in-specie transfers out, ensuring appropriate checks are made of the receiving scheme before assets or cash funds are released.
- Creating payments using the Bank of Scotland's iSite and Corporate Online systems.
- A highly technical individual, with extensive administration experience within the SIPP and/or SSAS industry.
- Previous line management/leadership experience.
- Experience of having worked within an independent trustee environment an advantage.
- Full Microsoft suite experience.
- Familiarisation of Delta's Platinum and Report~Pro, Bank of Scotland's iSite and Corporate Banking, Online platform/banking systems, SharePoint and volume by Watermark Technologies would be beneficial.
