Senior Tax Consultant
Leeds City Centre | Monday to Friday | Hybrid Working | Flexi Hours | £50,000 - £60,000 + Clear Route to Associate Director
Unity Resourcing is delighted to be partnering with a highly regarded and ambitious tax advisory firm in Leeds City Centre to recruit a CTA qualified Senior Tax Consultant.
This is an excellent opportunity for a tax professional who genuinely loves tax, enjoys solving complex client challenges and wants to develop their career within a specialist advisory practice.
This is a true advisory role with minimal compliance work. You'll be working closely with a diverse client base, delivering bespoke tax advice, managing a team of Graduate Tax Associates, reviewing technical work and playing a key role in the firm's continued growth.
For the right individual, there is a clear and achievable progression path to Associate Director.
Senior Tax Consultant Responsibilities:
- Lead and manage a broad range of tax advisory projects from inception through to completion.
- Deliver high-quality tax advice that is commercially focused and tailored to client needs.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships, becoming a trusted adviser.
- Manage project budgets, fee estimates, profitability and client expectations.
- Prepare fee proposals and scope new projects.
- Review technical reports, research and advisory work prepared by Graduate Tax Associates.
- Mentor, coach and develop junior members of the team.
- Work collaboratively with senior colleagues on complex advisory assignments.
- Contribute to business development activities, strategic partnerships and lead generation.
- Support marketing initiatives, events, webinars and technical content creation.
- Deliver internal training sessions and share knowledge across the wider team.
About You
We're looking for someone who:
- Is CTA qualified.
- Has a minimum of 2 years' post-qualified tax experience.
- Has strong tax advisory experience gained within practice.
- Enjoys tackling complex technical tax matters.
- Can build credibility and trusted relationships with clients.
- Has experience reviewing the work of junior tax professionals.
- Is commercially aware and understands project profitability and client service.
- Is passionate about tax and committed to ongoing technical development.
- Is ambitious and looking for a genuine long-term career opportunity.
