As a Senior Small Works Engineer, you will be responsible for the installation, modification, and commissioning of fire safety systems across a variety of sites. Your work will contribute directly to the delivery of high-quality, compliant fire protection solutions for clients. Working within the Small Works team, you will handle planned minor installation projects, including the upgrade and extension of existing fire alarm systems, as well as smaller standalone installations. You will be expected to ensure all work is completed to the highest standard and in line with relevant regulations and company procedures.

The role is mobile, primarily covering the Midlands, with occasional travel to surrounding areas. Projects will vary in size and complexity, requiring a flexible and proactive approach. A company van, tools, laptop, and phone will be provided to support you in your role. Our client offers a training and development program to help you continue growing your technical skills and progress within the business.

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES
  • Oversee the delivery of small works projects, including fire alarm system installations, modifications, and upgrades, ensuring they are completed on time, within budget, and to the required standard.
  • Manage and coordinate small works engineers and subcontractors, ensuring effective resource planning, site supervision, and clear communication.
  • Maintain strong client relationships, acting as a main point of contact for project-related communication and ensuring client expectations are met or exceeded.
  • Ensure full compliance with industry regulations, health and safety standards.
