Salary: £40,000 to £43,000 per annum + Benefits including annual Bonus, Christmas Vouchers, Employers 8% pension contributions (no contributions needed from employee, saving you approx. £££)
Hours: Monday to Friday, 1 week on earlies (7am-3pm), 1 week on nights Monday to Thursday (5pm-2am) and then 4 days (Monday to Thursday) on afternoons (2pm-10pm) Friday (12pm to 8pm)
This is a very exciting position to work for a successful and heavy plant manufacturing company offering both challenging and rewarding careers for their large team of Maintenance Engineers. Due to growth, they are now seeking a Mechanical Fitter / Mechanical Maintenance Engineer with good experience across planned preventative maintenance, breakdowns, project work and improvements.
You will be working in their dedicated mechanical team and be part of a shift team of 3-5 Engineers. The team of engineers are loyal and supportive, with an annual spend on training - ensuring you are keeping up with ever-changing times and practices. Working across a rotating shift pattern.
Along with planned & reactive maintenance, the Mechanical Shift Engineer will also have the opportunity to undertake projects and improvement work to both plant machinery & building infrastructure across this highly automated production facility. Requiring a proactive approach and good attention to detail, the Mechanical Fitter must have a good understanding of Health, Safety & Environmental, ensuring work is completed in accordance with the CMMS & the company's EH&S guidelines.
Good Mechanical Maintenance skills including some of the following: Hydraulics, Pneumatics, Chains, Bearings, Shafts, Seals, Motors, Welding, Fabrication etc.
Ideally apprentice trained in mechanical engineering and have ideally worked in a production environment. Excellent organisational skills and the ability to work on own initiative with minimum supervision.
