My client is a well-established, globally backed business with over 60 years' history and 20+ years in the UK. Operating within the renewable energy sector, they’ve built a strong reputation for quality, stability, and looking after their people, with a close-knit team and low staff turnover.
Due to continued growth, they’re looking to add a Service Engineer or Senior Service Engineer depending on experience.
The Role
This is a hands-on, UK-wide role (Monday to Friday) where you’ll be regularly working away from home, leading installation and commissioning activities across projects. A great opportunity for someone looking to step into a more senior, autonomous position.
What you’ll be doing:
- Leading installation and commissioning activities on projects
- Acting as the technical lead and key customer contact on-site
- Taking ownership of planning (RAMS, delivery, coordination)
- Making on-the-spot technical decisions and resolving issues
- Supporting service and maintenance delivery
- Maintaining strong customer relationships
- Mentoring and supporting junior engineers
What They’re Looking For
- Strong background in installation and/or service
- Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics
- Experience with testing and commissioning
- Mechanically biased with solid electrical understanding
- Comfortable working independently and taking ownership
Qualifications:
- ECS Gold Card (preferred)
- 18th Edition
- Level 3 qualification in Electrical or Mechanical preferred
Other:
- Full UK driving licence (maximum 6 points)
Package
- £37,000 – £47,000 depending on experience/level
- Monthly bonus up to 10%
- Overtime (time and a half up to double time)
