On behalf of The Home Office - College of Policing, we are looking for a Senior Benefits Manager (Inside IR35) for a 6 month contract. This is a hybrid working role (travel required up to three days per week - UK Wide).

These systems work collaboratively to deliver our cross-cutting priorities, whilst providing increasingly efficient and secure services for the public. Job Purpose:
This role will be supporting innovation across Policing.
SC Clearance is an essential requirement for this role, as a minimum you must be eligible and willing to undergo these checks. Please note, due to the exceptional requirements of this position (short-term nature of this role and speed at which we require a postholder in situ) preference may be given to candidates who meet all of the essential criteria and hold active security clearance.
As a Senior Benefits Manager, your main responsibilities will be to:
- Proactively identify, quantify, and track the realisation of benefits used to justify investment in the project.
- Ensure a fit for purpose approach is used to provide assurance that the benefits identified can be achieved.
- Provide visible and effective leadership.
- Work with the project manager to deliver the business case benefits and outcomes.
- Develop clear vision and standards and champion the use of best practice, tools and processes.
- Define and shape the benefits management strategy.
- Oversee the project Benefits Realisation Plan including change control.
- Establish the mechanism for co-ordinated and consistent tracking and reporting through the project lifecycle and into realisation.
- Co-ordinate workshops, map benefits and ensure alignment.
- Work with Stakeholders and wider benefits management community to ensure benefits are identified, understood, owned and maximised.
Essential:
- Demonstrable experience of embedding benefits led approaches in a large organisation.
- Experience leading projects with significant experience of benefits management.
- Experienced in designing and creating benefit maps, benefit realisation plans, benefit profiles and other associated benefits management documentation.
- Experience of delivering benefits training to diverse stakeholder groups.
- Working with colleagues at Executive and senior management level to deliver benefits.
- Experience of successful project and service delivery.
- A thorough understanding of benefits management methodology and practices.
- Credible subject matter expert and good communication skills.
- Strong ability to build effective working relationships with internal and external stakeholders at all levels and work collaboratively to achieve objectives.
- Ability to effectively challenge and influence others, including more senior colleagues and stakeholders, to ensure the right outcome is achieved.
- Able to apply judgement creatively and flexibly to solve complex problems and generate new ideas.
- Experience of problem solving and taking an evidence-based approach to developing and establishing standards.
- Excellent planning and organisational skills with the ability to adapt to different audiences/scenarios.
- Understanding of recognised industry skills frameworks, standards and approaches.
Essential qualifications:
- Level 6 qualification in the subject matter or equivalent experience.
- Master's Degree or Recognised Benefits Management Qualification (APMG or similar).
Desirable:
- Experience of working in the public sector and/or policing.
- Good working knowledge of MS Project and MS Visio.
- Involvement in projects with a degree of IT systems change.
- Practical experience of working in specialist field at leadership level, or equivalent.
- Understanding of project management and business/process improvement methodologies.
- Experience of risk management.
