An exciting opportunity has arisen for an experienced Registered Manager to join a growing and ambitious children's residential care provider. Due to continued expansion, the organisation is seeking a strong leader to oversee both an established 3-bed EBD home and a newly registered 3-bed EBD service. This is a unique opportunity to play a key role within a provider that is committed to delivering high-quality, child-centred care and achieving outstanding outcomes for young people. With a supportive senior leadership team already in place, including a Responsible Individual, Head of Service, and existing Registered Manager, you will benefit from strong operational support whilst enjoying the autonomy to shape and develop both services.
The Role
- Provide full operational leadership across two children's residential homes
- Ensure compliance with Children's Homes Regulations, Quality Standards, and Ofsted requirements
- Lead, develop, and inspire stable, high-performing staff teams
- Embed a therapeutic, child-focused culture throughout both homes
- Drive continuous improvement and work towards Good and Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
- Oversee safeguarding, risk management, and quality assurance processes
- Develop positive relationships with local authorities, commissioners, and external professionals
- Support occupancy growth and placement stability
- Maintain high standards of care planning, record keeping, and service delivery
- Participate in the on-call rota and provide leadership support as required
About You
- Significant experience within children's residential care, particularly EBD services
- Previous Registered Manager experience or substantial leadership experience as a Deputy Manager ready to progress
- A proven track record of achieving Good or Outstanding Ofsted outcomes
- Strong safeguarding knowledge and regulatory understanding
- Excellent leadership, communication, and people management skills
- The ability to build, motivate, and retain successful teams
- Relevant childcare qualifications
- Level 5 Diploma in Leadership
