Job Description

Due to continued growth, a well-established civil engineering and groundworks contractor is looking to appoint a Quantity Surveyor / Estimator to join their commercial team at their Hampshire head office.

This business delivers a wide range of residential infrastructure works, from bulk earthworks through to complex civil engineering packages, and has a strong reputation for quality, consistency, and investing in its people.

Reporting directly to the Commercial Manager / Director, you will be responsible for surveying and estimating groundworks packages across new-build residential projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Act as the commercial point of contact for surveying and estimating matters on projects

  • Assist with the preparation, submission, and agreement of tenders and contract submissions

  • Support the commercial team with project variations, claims, and design changes

  • Prepare project forecasts, cost plans, and commercial reports

  • Ensure contractual obligations are understood and complied with

  • Monitor and report on project profitability and commercial performance

  • Work closely with procurement and site management teams

  • Ensure compliance with company procedures and commercial deadlines
