Quantity Surveyor

An award-winning, high-end construction company is seeking a Quantity Surveyor to join their growing team. Quantity Surveyor Responsibilities:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will support the commercial delivery of projects and assist with the financial management across the build lifecycle, including:

• Assisting with project cost control from initial estimates through to final accounts

• Working closely with architects, engineers and contractors to help ensure projects are delivered on time and within budget

• Supporting the preparation and evaluation of tenders, contracts and variations

• Providing cost advice and contributing to value engineering exercises

• Maintaining accurate cost reports and financial records

• Supporting professional and positive client interactions

Quantity Surveyor Requirements:

• Experience within high-end or high-spec residential construction (or a strong interest in this sector)

• Good understanding of Quantity Surveying principles, cost management and budgeting

• Knowledge of construction methods and building regulations

• Exposure to contract administration and project cost control

• Strong communication and negotiation skills

• A proactive attitude with the ability to work independently and as part of a team

• Competence using construction or estimating software

• A relevant degree in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management, or a related discipline
