Job Description
Our client based in Pangbourne is currently recruiting for a qualified Dental Nurse to join their busy and friendly practice. This is a great opportunity to be part of a friendly & innovative organisation.
- Location: Pangbourne
- Job type: Permanent
- Working Hours: Mon β Thurs 8am β 5.15pm, Fri β 8.15am β 4.15pm, Sat β 8.15am β 2.15pm (this is on a rota basis so will be every 4-6 weeks and you will receive a day off in lieu)
- Salary: Dependant on experience
As the Dental Nurse, you will be responsible for:
- To perform high quality dental nursing whilst assisting the dentists or therapists you have been appointed with, in a safe and effective manner in accordance with the 'Code of Ethics' of the British Association of Dental Nurses and the GDC requirements and recommendations to the dentists and their staff.
- To establish and maintain productive working relationships with all members of the dental team.
- To ensure that the surgical areas and equipment are regularly cleaned and maintained, including aspiration systems and autoclaves, paying all due attention to relevant legal and ethical codes, in addition to the practice policy in respect of cross infection control and Health & Safety.
- To liaise with the Practice Manager on all matters concerning administration, pay and service conditions.
The successful Dental Nurse will have the following related skills / experience:
- An enthusiastic and positive approach to work is essential.
- You must also be organised and pro-active with a real desire to further your skills and qualifications.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team are also essential.
- The ideal candidate will need to be organised, efficient and willing to mentor other junior and trainee nurses.
- A passion for dentistry, a willingness to embrace innovative techniques and new ideas and with a desire to further their own skills and qualifications.
- Must have previous experience as a Dental Nurse and be GDC registered.
- Radiography and sedation qualifications would be an advantage but not essential.
