We are currently looking for a pump engineer to work on a temp/contract basis with the option available for permanent contract. This is working for a fit out contractor with a specialist AC company as part of their group.
Rates are negotiable with salary.

This is an exciting time for the company and the right candidate for the role will need to be enthusiastic, forward thinking and personable with the drive to hit the floor running to take full advantage of the opportunities available to them.

This is a Field-based role, and you will be working with multiple clients across different sectors and have an assistant to cover the work.

Services offered within the division are Installation, Servicing, Repairs & Maintenance of pumps and associated products, working in the following sectors: Blue-Chip companies, Hotel Chains, Education Establishments, Commercial Buildings. Previous experience within all these areas is preferred although not essential.

You will be working on HVAC systems, single and three phase electrical, water booster systems, heating and chilled systems including submersible systems both clean water and foul water.

You will be part of a team who all understand the importance of working together to ensure a high standard of work is delivered as well as be able to work on your own to budget and the level of professionalism that the company expects.

We require a pump engineer to be able to install new equipment and carry out repairs, maintenance, commissioning and fault finding on all types and makes of pumps and systems with the hands-on experience and ability to overhaul pumps as well as replace mechanical seals and bearings on site.

Summary of Responsibilities:

  • Take responsibility for the overall quality of the work delivered on-site
  • Carry out effective communications with the client and administration team
  • Ensure the company meets its obligations and adheres to guidelines and regulations laid down by the professional bodies they subscribe to.
  • Work closely with other engineers and good team player.
  • Installation, Servicing, Repairs & Maintenance Work
  • Confined Spaces would be desirable. Alternatively, you will be sent for training.
  • Pump Maintenance Experience
  • Good all-round commercial maintenance knowledge
  • Extensive experience working within a commercial and large residential environment.
  • Building services knowledge with ideally additional mechanical.
  • Submersible pump and pumpstations clean and foul water.
  • Pressurisation units, various makes and models.
  • A good understanding of Inverters and setting up parameters.
  • A good understanding of Expansion vessels and setting the pressures correctly for the system requirements.
  • Cold water booster sets Installation experience.
  • Pressurisation units installation experience.
  • Attending to call outs on a rotational basis
  • Covering Greater London area and South East but not limited to other parts of England.

Pump Engineer Skills and Experience:

  • A Full UK Driving Licence or equivalent (Essential)
  • A drive and enthusiasm to grab hold of opportunities
  • At least 2 years of experience working within the sector
  • Relevant qualifications are desirable such as BPMA, IPAF, PASMA, CSCS, City & Guilds
  • A positive attitude and the ability to self-motivate is a must
  • Good product knowledge within the Pump Industry of the following
