An exciting new opportunity is available for a Product Development Assistant. This is a fast-paced, varied role supporting our in-house brand team across product, product development and sales. You will be highly organised, confident managing multiple projects and deadlines, and have strong attention to detail with a genuine passion for product and product development.
As a key member of a small, productive team, you will support the delivery of our own-brand product ranges as they continue to grow. You will work confidently within systems and communicate clearly with Far East factories and suppliers, ensuring projects stay on track and are delivered on time in line with our critical path.
Key Responsibilities- Provide day-to-day support for own-brand products across product, product development and sales administration.
- Support own-brand growth by improving products and processes, analysing data, updating the wider team and liaising with Far East factories and suppliers.
- Manage samples and prototypes, including placing orders, tracking deliveries, gathering feedback and flagging product improvements.
- Maintain accurate product set-up and data across internal systems and databases.
- Manage internal and customer-facing spreadsheets covering product launches, range updates and sales administration.
- Maintain accurate and consistent product information across customer websites.
- Hands-on assistance reviewing physical product. Complete customer data sheets, upload products via customer portals, and prepare images and files to required specifications.
- Strong Excel skills, with the ability to produce clear, accurate spreadsheets.
- Highly organised, able to prioritise and manage multiple projects to tight deadlines.
- Systems-savvy, with a good working knowledge of databases and Microsoft Office tools.
- A genuine passion for product and product development, with a proactive approach to improving products and processes.
- Confident, professional communicator, able to liaise clearly with Far East factories and suppliers (written and verbal).
- Meticulous attention to detail, with consistently high standards of accuracy.
- Confident following up, clarifying information and keeping stakeholders informed.
- A self-starter with a positive, can-do attitude and an approachable, down-to-earth manner.
- A practical problem-solver who can take responsibility and use initiative.
- Full driving licence required.
