We are recruiting a skilled and motivated Water Treatment Technician to join a dynamic Facilities Management (FM) company based in Leatherhead. If you are passionate about water treatment and have experience in legionella risk assessments, this is a fantastic opportunity to develop your career in a supportive and fast-paced environment.

Salary: Up to £35,000 per annum (dependent on experience)

Key Activities:

  • Conduct Legionella Risk Assessments in line with the latest ACOP L8 (Fourth edition), HSG274, and BS8580-1 2019.
  • Perform assessments both manually and electronically.
  • Draw schematic diagrams for water systems.
  • Provide technical support and guidance as needed.
  • Ensure Legionella Risk Assessment reports are completed accurately and on time.
  • Respond promptly to customer requests and liaise with clients on-site.
  • Assist in site surveys and providing information for quotations.
  • Complete work reports through Planon or day work sheets in a timely manner.
  • Attend client meetings and provide support as required.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and wear appropriate PPE.
  • Complete PPM service visits and remedial works as directed.
  • Collaborate with the Helpdesk team to ensure service continuity.
  • Act as the first point of contact for clients and ensure customer satisfaction.
  • Provide assistance with procurement and expenses.

Skills & Qualifications:

  • City & Guilds or NVQ equivalent qualification
  • A minimum of 1 year’s post-qualification experience in a relevant water treatment role.
  • Strong knowledge of technical regulations including Water Supply Regulations/Byelaws, L8 ACOP, HSG274, and other relevant guidance.
  • In-depth understanding and training in risk assessing and the Approved Code of Practice (ACOP) L8.
  • Experience in fault diagnosis and resolution.
