Our client is a leader in manufacturing bespoke industrial equipment and solutions to businesses across the UK and overseas. Following a huge amount of growth over the recent years, they are now looking to expand their Estimating department to work within the projects sector of the business. You will play a crucial role liaising with clients and technical and sales departments to quote for large industrial scale projects across the UK.

The ideal applicant will have previous estimating experience, working within a construction or engineering background. This role is for someone who is wanting to progress themselves into a career and not just a job. Full training and development will be provided into industry specific courses that will enhance your knowledge.

What's involved for the Project Estimator:

  • Producing quotations and project costings to clients
  • Work closely with sales and technical teams
  • Interpreting CAD drawings
  • Work towards project deadlines
  • Develop cost estimates for materials, labour, and equipment
  • Manage client demands
  • Assist sales team in producing proposals
  • Evaluate supplier proposals
  • Analyse financial risks

What you'll need:

  • Construction / Engineering or Manufacturing background
  • MUST have estimation or costing experience
  • Good computer literacy
  • The ability to work to deadlines
  • High attention to detail
  • Self-motivated and the ability to work on your own initiative
  • Good verbal and written communication across all levels
  • Knowledge of CAD, SolidWorks or similar platforms IDEAL BUT NOT ESSENTIAL
  • Ability to work well within a team
