Registered Building Inspector Up to £60 per hour, depending on experienceSector: Building Control We are recruiting on behalf of a Local Authority in Norfolk for an experienced Registered Building Inspector to join their Building Control team on an initial 612 month contract. The role will involve carrying out building control inspections and ensuring that building work complies with the Building Regulations and relevant legislation. You will be working across a varied range of projects and dealing with developers, contractors, architects and other professionals on a day-to-day basis. Carrying out site inspections at various stages of construction Assessing building work for compliance with the Building Regulations and relevant legislation Liaising with developers, contractors, architects, engineers and other stakeholders Providing technical advice on Building Control matters Maintaining accurate inspection records and completing reports Managing your own workload and prioritising inspections Ensuring inspections and decisions are carried out in line with legislation and professional standards Keeping up to date with changes to Building Regulations and industry guidance Previous experience working in Building Control, ideally within a Local Authority Good knowledge of the Building Regulations and associated legislation Experience carrying out building inspections across a range of projects Good knowledge of construction methods, materials and practices If you are a Registered Building Inspector and are available for a new contract, please get in touch to discuss the role and find out more.
