About the Role We are seeking a skilled and reliable Multi-Trade Plumber to join our team on a temp-to-perm basis, delivering high-quality repairs and maintenance services within social housing properties. This role offers an opportunity to transition into a permanent position based on performance, with a focus on providing excellent service to tenants and maintaining a high standard of work. Key Responsibilities Plumbing Repairs and Maintenance: Complete a variety of plumbing tasks, including diagnosing and repairing leaks, replacing sanitary ware, fixing pipework, and ensuring heating systems are operational. Multi-Trade Work: Carry out secondary trade tasks, such as basic carpentry, plastering, tiling, or painting, to complete jobs effectively. Responsive Repairs: Attend to day-to-day repairs and emergency plumbing issues within tenant-occupied properties. Void Property Work: Perform refurbishment tasks in vacant properties to bring them up to a lettable standard. Tenant Interaction: Maintain a professional and respectful approach when working in tenant homes, ensuring minimal disruption and excellent customer service. Health & Safety Compliance: Follow all health and safety guidelines, using appropriate PPE and adhering to company policies. Documentation: Accurately record work details, job completions, and material usage through company systems (digital or manual). Qualifications and Experience Proven experience as a plumber, ideally in a social housing or property maintenance environment. Competency in additional trades such as carpentry, plastering, tiling, or decorating is highly desirable. NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing or equivalent qualification – preferred but not essential. Gas Safe registration – desirable but not essential. Valid CSCS card – desirable.
