Job Title: Mobile Mechanical Engineer
Location: Stoke-on-Trent & surrounding Midlands area
Salary: £32,000 – £34,000 per annum
Contract: Permanent, Full-Time (40 hours per week)
Additional: Company vehicle provided | On-call rota

Job Overview

We are seeking a skilled Mobile Mechanical Engineer to join our team, working on a mobile basis across Stoke-on-Trent and the wider Midlands region. This is a permanent, full-time role offering a competitive salary, company vehicle, and a strong benefits package.

Key Responsibilities

  • Maintenance and repair of heating and hot water systems

  • General plumbing works

  • Fault finding and diagnostics on mechanical plant

  • Installation works and completion of relevant certification

  • Basic building fabric repairs

  • Ensuring plant faults and defects are promptly rectified to maintain safe operation

  • Producing parts lists and estimated timescales for remedial works

  • Carrying out Point of Work Risk Assessments (POWRA) prior to starting work

  • Logging safety concerns using the AIMS system

  • Attending breakdowns and emergencies as part of the on-call rota
