On behalf of The Department for Transport, we are looking for an Estates Project Manager x2 (Inside IR35) for a 6 Month contract based in Leeds, Nottingham, Birmingham, Chadderton, Newcastle, Yeading or Glasgow (3 days per week on site). As an Estates Project Manager, your main responsibilities will be:
- Assess building and property requirements, prioritising works based on operational needs, risk, and customer requirements, and recommending cost-effective solutions.
- Translate complex requirements into clear, accurate client briefs for external service providers, ensuring alignment with scope and deliverables.
- Act as Subject Matter Expert on property maintenance, project delivery, and CDM 2015 regulations, ensuring compliance and best practice across all activities.
- Identify, assess, and mitigate risks to building assets and proactively ensure the safety and wellbeing of staff and visitors on site.
- Commission feasibility studies, appoint and manage contractors through RIBA Stages 0-7, and monitor delivery against specifications, budgets, and timelines.
- Lead and coordinate projects (e.g. acquisitions, fit-outs, refurbishments, planned and reactive works), managing stakeholders, resources, and TFM supplier performance to achieve successful outcomes.
Essential:
- Project Management experience and skills.
- Experience in property management and experience in contract management.
- Experience and knowledge of property legislation and estates management.
- Proven resource management skills - financial, personnel and property related.
- Working knowledge of NEC 3 Works contracts.
- Willingness to travel across the UK with some overnight stays possible when necessary and holds full current driving licence.
