  • Advise clients on Zero Trust network approaches, secure access models, segmentation, identity-aware connectivity and cyber risk reduction.
  • Review supplier designs, budgets, licensing models and implementation proposals to provide independent technical assurance.
  • Maintain awareness of market developments, public sector requirements and emerging network technologies.

Client Advisory & Delivery

  • Lead discovery, infrastructure documentation, security reviews, audits, stakeholder engagement, requirements analysis and technical assurance activities.
  • Produce clear strategies, business cases, options appraisals, technical specifications, evaluation models and implementation roadmaps.
  • Provide independent advice to senior leaders, technical teams, procurement teams and programme boards.
  • Support procurement activity including route-to-market advice, tender documentation, supplier engagement, evaluation, moderation and recommendation reports.

  • Identify and shape new opportunities where network consultancy, cyber security, infrastructure advisory or technical assurance services can add value.
  • Contribute to proposals, framework submissions, statements of work and client presentations.
  • Represent 4C in client meetings, market engagement sessions, supplier briefings and industry discussions.
  • Support marketing activity by helping shape network, connectivity, Zero Trust, cyber security, unified communications and infrastructure propositions.

How to prepare for a job interview at Resourcing Group

Brush Up on Your Technical Skills

For an IT consulting role, be ready to demonstrate your technical prowess. You might face questions on systems integration, cloud technologies, or even troubleshooting specific software. If you have experience with tools like AWS, Azure, or even specific programming languages, make sure you can talk about them fluently.

Showcase Your Problem-Solving Approach

IT consulting is all about solving problems for clients. Think about how you can illustrate your approach to a past challenge using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result). It's a great way to show how you tackle complex issues and come up with effective solutions.

Prep examples that highlight how your tech contributions improved efficiency or reduced costs for past clients or projects.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

Since IT consulting often involves teamwork and client interactions, expect behavioural questions that assess your interpersonal skills. Be prepared with examples that demonstrate your adaptability, communication skills, and how you handle client feedback. Before the interview, think of situations where you worked closely with clients to create effective IT strategies or changes.
