About the Opportunity

Due to continued growth and a strong pipeline of secured work, they are looking to appoint an experienced Quantity Surveyor to join their commercial team. Quantity Surveyor - The Role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for the commercial management of projects from pre-construction through to final account, ensuring schemes are delivered profitably while maintaining the highest standards of quality and client satisfaction. You will work closely with project teams, subcontractors, consultants and clients, playing a key role in the successful delivery of high-specification construction projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Cost planning and budget management
- Procurement and subcontractor management
- Preparing valuations, variations and final accounts
- Cost reporting and forecasting
- Contract administration
- Risk and value management
- Negotiating subcontractor and supplier agreements
- Monitoring project performance and profitability
- Supporting site teams with commercial guidance
- Building and maintaining strong stakeholder relationships
Quantity Surveyor Candidate Requirements:
- Degree qualified in Quantity Surveying, Construction Management or a related discipline
- Previous experience as a Quantity Surveyor within the construction industry
- Experience delivering high-end residential, bespoke housing, refurbishment or heritage projects
- Strong understanding of construction contracts and commercial processes
- Excellent cost management and budgeting skills
- Strong negotiation and communication abilities
- Commercially aware with excellent attention to detail
- Proficient with relevant construction and commercial software
- Self-motivated and capable of working independently or as part of a team
